Office visits available for local residents. Please see my page, “Finding the office” for a map. I love seeing my patients in person when possible! I can still offer telehealth visits when I have to be physically out of the area or for those who wish for treatment in the comfort of their own home for convenience, or for those who live far away including those in the states of Missouri and Iowa. If you don’t see office visits available as a choice on my schedule, then I am out of town and a telehealth visit may be arranged if appropriate. Telehealth visits can be very easy keeping in mind that you do need to have the zoom app downloaded to a device, either a desktop computer, laptop, or your cell phone. You will receive a link in your E-MAIL at or near the time of your visit when I am ready to see you. If you would prefer to receive this link by TEXT, then you would need to give me permission to text you and this can be accomplished by texting the word “START” to 36331. Be sure to allow the zoom app to access your microphone and video camera for our visit. I can gain much information about how you are doing and assess many things just by seeing your face. I can also gauge if you are tracking my instructions and education to make sure we are communicating effectively.

Before your visit, either via office or telehealth, I must have your forms completed. These will be sent to you via e-mail from my electronic medical record, called “Elation” at the time of your appointment booking. These must be filled out and submitted on-line before your appointment and the sooner, the better to allow me time to review your history and be at least a little familiar with you before I see you. There are important legal consents included as well. I expect you to read these as they are to help you know what to expect as far as pricing and procedural operations. You may always reach out for assistance with any of these procedures to my office staff at 941-777-2775.

After your visit, you will be expected to set up your patient portal called “Passport” as this is where your instructions are sent. I cannot e-mail them as this would violate HIPAA and this is also the best way to communicate directly with me as I am in front of my computer all day and managing these messages from the portal as they arrive. I realize that there is often a significant amount of information that I am giving you at the time of your visit and I try to put all of the important points in writing for you to refer back to in case you have questions after you leave. If your question can’t be answered in the visit summary, please never hesitate to reach out to me through the portal.
